Dr. Bhavesh Patel is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He focuses on treating people with conditions that result from cancer and its treatments.
He treats activities of daily life (ADL) impairments and gait, mobility and balance impairments. He also treats spasticity, musculoskeletal pain, cancer-related fatigue, post-mastectomy pain, cancer-related cognitive impairment, cervical dystonia (a neck condition), radiation fibrosis (tissue thickening) and neuropathy (damage to nerves).
Additionally, he provides non-opioid pain management, botulinum toxin injections, peripheral joint injections and trigger point injections.
Dr. Patel received his undergraduate degree in exercise and sport science at the University of North Carolina and his degree in osteopathic medicine at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He completed residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins University and a fellowship in oncologic rehabilitation at Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation.
