I chose to be a family doctor, and specifically a hospitalist, so I can provide care to all with the primary philosophy of family medicine, which is to treat the patient, not the disease.”
Dr. Propst is board certified in family medicine. He specializes in hospital medicine and treats patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. He received the Resident Teaching Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
He received his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree at East Carolina University.
Outside of work, Dr. Propst enjoys traveling and hiking with his wife and their 2 dogs, enjoying nature throughout North Carolina, from the mountains to the coast. He also loves to read all genres of books, especially anything by Stephen King.
