Biography

“Treating children with cancer and blood disorders, as well as their families, is incredibly humbling and fulfilling work.”

Dr. Kleiboer is board certified in pediatric hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders). He specializes in treating children with bleeding and clotting disorders, anemia and vascular malformations.

He grew up with a bleeding disorder, and being around his own hematologist inspired him to pursue medicine. He is motivated every day by the opportunity to maximize the quality of life of all of his patients.

Dr. Kleiboer received his medical degree at Michigan State University and completed his residency at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital. He followed that with a fellowship at the University of North Carolina.

He and his wife love to spend as much time as possible outdoors, especially hiking national parks. They love to trail run, kayak and zipline at the U.S. National Whitewater Center and are very busy with their energetic rescue dog, a Brittany Spaniel named Bella.
