“I value taking care of patients on their worst day and getting them home to loved ones and family. This was my focus for my 20 years in the military and will always be my commitment as a health care provider.”
Brian Smedick is a board-certified physician assistant. He focuses on acute care surgery, emergency general surgery, trauma management and elective general surgery.
While serving on active duty in the U.S. Army, he was drawn to trauma and acute care surgery because these procedures were the ones most needed by his patient populations during deployments.
Smedick received his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Nebraska. He received a Doctor of Science (DSc) and completed a fellowship in surgery and critical care at Baylor University.
He is married with 2 children. In his leisure time, he enjoys golf, boating, movies and spending time with his family.
