Biography

I do my job because I feel called to serve others, and I especially enjoy helping children and families navigate complex medical conditions. I strive to improve the quality of people’s lives in any way possible while providing compassionate care and support.

I started my career as a pediatric intensive care nurse. I spent time as a travel nurse and worked in five different states. As a nurse practitioner, I have practiced in brain injury rehab, surgery and hospitalist medicine. I feel my previous positions prepared me for my current role specializing in pediatric pulmonology.

I am a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner.

My clinical focus includes:

  • Tracheostomy (a surgical procedure in which a hole is made in the front of the neck and into the windpipe to allow a patient to breathe)
  • Ventilator-dependent children

I’ve been part of the team that created new tracheostomy care protocols and pathways to improve care for these young patients.

I received my master’s degree in nursing from Florida Atlantic University.

Outside of work, I spend time with my husband and twin daughters. We love to be outdoors, especially camping, hiking and stand-up paddleboarding. I also enjoy yoga, running, reading and checking out new restaurants.
