Dr. Caunt is board certified in internal medicine. He specializes in complex patient care, point-of-care ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided joint injections.
He enjoys the detective work involved in working in internal medicine. He spent a lot of time in a hospital setting as a child and always admired doctors.
Dr. Caunt received his medical degree at the University of Alberta and completed his residency at Dalhousie University.
Dr. Caunt enjoys time outside of work with his wife, who is his cheerleader and drill sergeant, and his teenage son who hopes to study computer science at a top university. He spends a lot of time reading, taking online courses related to medicine and working in his topiary garden. He is a retired Ironman triathlete who exercises daily.
