I enjoy partnering with my patients to pursue their most fit and functional selves so they can spend less time worrying about their health and more time doing the things they love. My goal is to help patients treat chronic diseases before they become emergencies. Together, we can shape the health of our community.
As a board-certified physician assistant, I focus on family medicine. Conditions I treat include diabetes, hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia, anxiety, depression and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Training and working in an underserved area have impressed upon me the devastating consequences uncontrolled medical conditions can have on patient health. From assisting in emergency surgeries and performing procedures in the ICU on my clinical rotations to treating hypertensive urgency and COPD exacerbations in my clinic, I’m reminded every day that with proper intervention, people can be spared suffering.
I received my master’s degree in physician assistant practice at Florida State University College of Medicine.
In my free time, I enjoy lifting weights, running and playing sports, including volleyball, pickleball and tennis. I’m a voracious reader of mystery and fantasy novels. I love most to spend time with my church community and my incredible husband, who makes everything I do in life and in my clinic work possible.
