“I enjoy working through the healing process with my patients to optimize their condition and return them to the activities they enjoy doing. I played tennis in college and know how much it means to feel good when you’re active.”

Dr. Rainbow is board certified in family medicine and primary care sports medicine. She has a clinical interest in joint and soft tissue injections, sports-related concussion management, musculoskeletal injuries and gait analysis.

She is a team physician at Winthrop University. She has been named a Charlotte magazine Top Doctor multiple times and was recognized by Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center with a Patients’ Choice Award.

Dr. Rainbow received her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed a residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. She completed her primary care sports medicine fellowship at Cone Health.

When not working, Dr. Rainbow enjoys traveling internationally, playing with her 2 Jack Russell terriers, jogging, skiing and playing tennis.
