Wittman is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in heart transplantation and the treatment of heart failure. 

She received her master’s degree in nursing at New York University.

In her free time, Whitman enjoys spending time with her husband, a doctor in the Emergency Department at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, and their children.
