Biography

“The needs of the patient must always come first. Physicians have a calling, duty and responsibility to push the envelope and help patients find answers. We know the ideal model of health care involves shared decision-making between patients and their doctors. We must be motivated with an eye towards growth and innovation in partnerships that focus first and foremost on trust and communication.”

Dr. Chad McRee is quadruple board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He focuses on structural and heart valve disease as well as hypertension, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), coronary artery disease and cardiogenic shock.

As an interventional cardiologist, he values being able to offer patients minimally invasive procedures that can often allow patients to avoid major surgery while still achieving excellent outcomes and minimizing the risk of complications.

Dr. McRee received his medical degree at the University of South Alabama and completed residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, interventional cardiology at Brown University and structural cardiology at the University of North Carolina.

Outside of work, his world revolves around family. He enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and their dog, Chapel. They love watching movies, spending time outdoors, hiking and biking, going to restaurants and traveling.
