Smith is a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner. She has over 30 years of experience taking care of patients in the neonatal intensive care unit. She specializes in neonatal nutrition and in infants who need care due to low birth weights, complications of prematurity, heart abnormalities, infections or other conditions.
She attended the neonatal nurse practitioner program at Columbus Children's Hospital (now Nationwide Children’s Hospital).
When she’s not working, Smith enjoys spending time with family. She also loves going to the beach whenever she can.
