Pediatric endocrinology is an amazing specialty. It allows me to build strong, therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, because many of the conditions we treat are chronic and require frequent interactions. I strive to provide patients and caregivers with the confidence to manage their medical conditions with knowledge, confidence and as minimal disruption to their lives as possible.

I’m board certified in pediatric endocrinology and general pediatrics.

I focus on treating:

• Type 1 and type 2 diabetes
• Obesity
• Thyroid disorders
• Growth disorders
• Delayed and precocious puberty
• Adrenal gland disorders
• Pituitary gland disorders
• Genetic conditions affecting the endocrine system

I serve as the director of diabetes services at Atrium Health.

I enjoy the mix of outpatient and inpatient work that allows me to manage conditions with the right medications and empower patients and their families. Because the endocrine system interacts with almost every other body system, I value the opportunities to coordinate with other generalists and specialists to develop the best comprehensive care plans for patients.

I received my medical degree at Wayne State University. I completed residency in pediatrics at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

I am married with two sons. In our leisure time, my family enjoys attending the boys’ hockey and swim events and visiting our extended family in North Carolina and Michigan.
