I chose family medicine because I enjoy partnering with patients to provide an integrated approach to achieve optimum health through prevention, diet, physical activity, spiritual wellness, stress reduction and traditional medicine when appropriate. I believe the body has the ability to heal itself when provided optimum nutrition, physical health and stress management and when a patient is fully engaged in maintaining wellness.

I am board certified in family medicine and specialize in women’s health, preventive health and diabetes care.

• Diabetes management

I'm fluent in Spanish.

I am the site director for Atrium Health Community Care Primary Care Archdale Family Medicine.

I received my medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh and completed residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, where I was named chief resident. I won the Resident Teacher Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my son, singing, songwriting, traveling and practicing Reiki, a form of energy healing.
