Biography
“I enjoy being able to take care of patients of all ages and the continuity that can be provided. I also enjoy the balance of medical and surgical work. The skin is a fascinating organ to treat.”
Dr. Parsons is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in general adult and pediatric dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He is the medical director for dermatology and the medical director for medical specialties including allergy, dermatology, endocrinology, rheumatology and sleep medicine. He practices at Atrium Health Dermatology - SouthPark.
He has been named a Top Doctor by Charlotte Magazine for multiple years. Dr. Parsons partners with patients to improve and manage their conditions, from rashes, psoriasis, rosacea and acne to melanomas. He feels it is a privilege to participate in that kind of care.
He received his master of public health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree at Duke University. He also completed his residency and a fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was on the dermatology faculty at the University of Chapel Hill for a few years before moving to Charlotte.
Dr. Parsons has a wife, 2 beautiful daughters and a dog. As a family, they enjoy traveling, cooking, baking, playing cards and family games, camping and sitting around the fire.
