Biography

“I’m constantly inspired by how resilient kids are. I believe every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy and supported. My philosophy is that early guidance, education and encouragement can have a lifelong impact. Moreover, working with kids and families allows me to empower them to overcome challenges and celebrate milestones along the way.”

Dr. Daniella Owusuwaah is board certified in pediatrics. She holds basic life support (BLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certifications.

She chose to practice pediatrics because the field challenges her to think creatively, communicate clearly with both children and parents and provide care to address medical, emotional and social needs. She sees each visit as an opportunity to influence a patient’s lifelong health. Celebrating small victories, whether it’s a child overcoming a chronic condition or a family gaining confidence in their care, reminds her every day why she chose this specialty.

Dr. Owusuwaah received her degree in osteopathic medicine at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed residency in pediatrics at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Outside of work, she seeks activities that push her out of her comfort zone and help her grow. She especially loves exploring new places through travel and adventurous cultural experiences. To relax, Dr. Owusuwaah enjoys reading popular fiction, caring for houseplants and cooking with new recipes for family and friends.
