Biography

“I find a unique connection with patients with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. Offering advanced therapies, including deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin injections, can provide dramatic improvement in their quality of life.”

Dr. Englert Doggett is board certified in neurology with a specialty in movement disorders. She has a clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia and Huntington’s disease. She also has a special interest in deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin injections. 

She is the director of the deep brain stimulation program at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and the director of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center at Atrium Health Neurosciences Institute Charlotte. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Movement Disorders Society and the American Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery. 

Dr. Englert Doggett is involved in research for Parkinson's disease, including the effects of exercise in patients with the disease. 

She received her medical degree at the University of South Dakota and completed a residency and fellowship at the University of North Carolina.
