David M. Cody, MD

“To be entrusted with the care of another individual is a privilege I will never take for granted.” 

Dr. Cody is board certified in family medicine. He is skilled in pediatric and adult medicine, acute and chronic medical conditions and preventive care. 

He received his medical degree at East Carolina University and completed a residency at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, formerly Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital. 

He is certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for diabetes, heart and stroke care as well as patient-centered medical home care, a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. 

The illnesses of multiple family members led to Dr. Cody’s interest in preventive medicine. 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters traveling to the mountains or the beach.  He enjoys following Davidson College and the University of North Carolina sports, especially basketball.
