Dr. McMurry is board certified in internal medicine. He chose to pursue internal medicine because it involves all aspects of overall adult healthcare, and he enjoys the challenge of using his wide range of knowledge and years of experience to guide people through their health concerns.
His father, a surgeon, inspired him to pursue medicine because he embraced challenges but gained many rewards for his hard work.
Dr. McMurry received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his residency at Memorial Medical Center.
He enjoys exercising every day, playing golf, skeet shooting and snow skiing. He has 3 grown children who are all successful in their chosen fields.
