Biography

"I love taking care of people from all walks of life and helping them achieve their best selves physically and mentally."

Dr. Price is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He specializes in treating every type of sports injury, including non-surgical musculoskeletal injuries, as well as regenerative medicine, ultrasound-guided procedures and medical conditions in athletes.

He serves as the program director of the Atrium Health Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, co-chief in the Primary Care Sports Division of the Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute, medical director for Atrium Health Sports Medicine and Special Events, and medical director for Heart of a Champion Day. Dr. Price is a team physician for Charlotte FC and head team physician for Johnson C. Smith University and Myers Park High School.

He has received numerous awards, including the Atrium Health Teal Acorn Physician of the Year. He has been repeatedly recognized by Charlotte magazine as a Top Doctor.

Dr. Price is also a professor in the departments of both Family Medicine and Orthopedics at Atrium Health. He has led several research studies focusing on cardiac death in athletes and the effects of concussion and cardiovascular abnormalities when screening high school athletes during pre-participation physical exams.

He received his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia and completed residency at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center. He followed that with a fellowship at Bayfront Medical Center.

Dr. Price loves traveling and spending time with his wife and 3 kids. He enjoys running, triathlons, soccer and strumming his guitar.
