Biography

I enjoy taking care of children and their families. I especially value the opportunity to develop long-term relationships that help us achieve the best outcomes.

I am board certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. I specialize in treating lung diseases in children, with a focus on cystic fibrosis.

I am the center director for the Atrium Health Cystic Fibrosis Program and the program director for the Levine Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Program at Levine Children’s Specialty Center.

My team and I received the Outstanding Partnership Award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Atrium Health Silver Touchstone Award. I bring a team approach to patient care and strive to continually learn, improve and excel.

I received my medical degree at The University of Texas. I completed residency at Vanderbilt University Children's Hospital and a fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Science Center.

I am involved in several research studies funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. One study investigates new therapies for cystic fibrosis and another provides improved screening and mental health services for patients and their families.

I am married with four children and five grandchildren. An avid runner, I also enjoy photography and reading.
