She became interested in neurology after seeing her grandfather’s personality change from outgoing to withdrawn following a stroke.
Navey received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at the University of North Carolina Greensboro and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at The University of Alabama in Hunstville.
Navey has contributed research on tremors and myasthenia gravis (an autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness) to the book, “Advanced Practice Nursing in the Care of Older Adults.”
When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her husband, 2 rescue dogs and cat.
She and her husband enjoy fostering dogs, traveling and attending Charlotte Football Club soccer games.
