Dr. Chen is board certified in family medicine and specializes in primary care for children and adults. He also focuses on diabetes, weight management and men’s health. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
With medicine as his calling, he brings passion to caring for people and families of all ages and backgrounds.
Dr. Chen is the regional medical director for Atrium Health Union Southeast Region and the assistant medical director for Family Medicine. He is recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for patient-centered care for diabetes. He has received an American Medical Association (AMA) Physician’s Recognition Award.
He received his medical degree at Georgetown University and completed his residency at Duke University.
Dr. Chen is married with 3 sons. In his free time, he serves at his church. He enjoys tennis, running, playing guitar and piano, and curating a lifelong, vintage, sports card collection.
