Biography

Babies embody a unique kind of bravery. They face immense challenges in their earliest moments, often surpassing what older patients could endure. I’m inspired by the strength and determination of babies, and I have dedicated my career to supporting these tiny fighters as they navigate their first critical steps in life.

Caring for the tiniest, most vulnerable patients resonates deeply with me. Growing up in a resilient family in a small, economically challenged town, I learned about the value of strength, perseverance and hope. My mother was an extremely low birth weight (ELBW) baby who defied the odds to flourish and raise three children of her own. These experiences shaped my desire to overcome obstacles and give back in meaningful ways.

I’m a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner who focuses on caring for newborn and premature babies. I received my master’s degree in nursing with a neonatal nurse practitioner concentration at East Carolina University.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, children and “fur baby,” Cooper. The beach feels like our second home, and we cherish every chance to be there. My family stays active playing football, basketball or anything that gets us moving. In my downtime, I enjoy reading anything in the romance and suspense genres.
