Biography

“Babies embody a unique kind of bravery. They face immense challenges in their earliest moments, often surpassing what older patients could endure. I am inspired by the strength and determination of babies, and I have dedicated my career to supporting these tiny fighters as they navigate their first critical steps in life.”

Ebony Kee is a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner who focuses on caring for newborn and premature babies.

Caring for the tiniest, most vulnerable patients resonates deeply with her. Growing up in a resilient family in a small, economically challenged town, she learned about the value of strength, perseverance and hope. Kee’s mother was an extremely low birth weight (ELBW) baby who defied the odds to flourish and raise 3 children of her own. These experiences shaped Kee’s desire to overcome obstacles and give back in meaningful ways.

She received her master’s degree in nursing with a neonatal nurse practitioner concentration at East Carolina University.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, children and “fur baby,” Cooper. The beach feels like their second home, and they cherish every chance to be there. The family stays active playing football, basketball or anything that gets them moving. In her downtime, Kee enjoys reading anything in the romance and suspense genres.
