Rothenbach is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology (digestive and liver conditions).

Her research interests include clinical trials for treating non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), the advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Rothenbach received her physician assistant training at the University of Kentucky.
