Dr. Elim Chao is board certified in family medicine. Her clinical interests include primary care, women's health care, gender-affirming care and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) care.
She values the opportunities to practice a broad scope of medicine while also focusing on the specialties that are her passions.
Dr. Chao received her medical degree at Wake Forest University and completed residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. Additionally, she received the Family Medicine Resident Award for Scholarship for her work in PrEP and HIV research.
Outside of work, Dr. Chao enjoys exploring farmers markets, checking out new places to eat and relaxing at home with her significant other and dog.
