I help evaluate, diagnose, treat, manage and counsel patients with rare disorders. I want every child and family to know that I care about them, and my hope is that at the end of each visit, I have answered their concerns and helped them understand their diagnosis and treatment plan.
I’m board certified in pediatrics, medical genetics and genomics and clinical biochemical genetics. I focus on cardiovascular genetics, metabolic disorders and congenital anomalies.
Throughout my career, I have been fascinated to learn the cause(s) of disorders and to use this knowledge through medical advancements to significantly improve the quality of life in patients with rare disorders.
I received my medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed residency in pediatrics at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. I completed fellowships in medical genetics and genomics and clinical biochemical genetics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
My research focuses on cardiovascular genetics of patients with congenital heart defects.
Away from work, I enjoy being outside with my family and playing and watching sports. We love water skiing, hiking, snow skiing, swimming and snorkeling. My favorite sports teams are the Atlanta Falcons and Liverpool FC. I enjoy watching Formula 1 racing, and my favorite drivers are Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo.
