Biography

Dr. Marin is board certified in neurology. He specializes in sleep disorders, epilepsy, stroke, brain tumors, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis. He also treats sleep-disordered breathing, REM-sleep behavior disorder, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, circadian rhythm disorders, neuromuscular disorders, neurodegenerative disorders and movement disorders.
As a former biomedical engineer, he became interested in the fusion of engineering, technology and medicine, which drew him to neurology and sleep medicine.
Dr. Marin has clinical research interests in ambulatory detection of REM sleep behavior disorder, parasomnias, sleep in older adults, post-stroke sleep and sleep in neurodegenerative disorders.
Dr. Marin was previously clinical chief of neurology at Saint Louis University, where he received an Outstanding Clinical Educator Award and a Humanistic Healer Award. He received his medical degree at Saint Louis University, where he also completed residency. He completed a fellowship at Stanford University.
He is married and a self-proclaimed foodie who likes to visit and review restaurants in his free time. He also enjoys exercising and listening to audiobooks, especially fantasy and science fiction.
