Biography
“As an athlete, I suffered a devastating knee injury that helped lead me to sports medicine, and I care deeply about helping others heal.”
Dr. Warren is board certified in primary care sports medicine and family medicine. He specializes in non-operative musculoskeletal care, including the use of ultrasound and biologic injections, as well as sports-related concussions.
Dr. Warren is the medical director of the Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute Sports Medicine Network and its Southern Division. He is also the medical director of athletics for both Union County Public Schools and Wingate University. Dr. Warren serves as the team physician for the Charlotte Knights.
He helps patients set and achieve goals and return pain-free to the sports, work and activities they love.
Dr. Warren received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina. He completed his residency and fellowship at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
He has received numerous awards, including being named multiple years as Top Doctor in Sports Medicine by Charlotte magazine as well as being awarded the 2018 North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s Medical Professional of the Year. He has received a Charlotte Business Journal Excellence in Healthcare Award and the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. He has been the chief medical officer for the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament, the UCI BMX World Championships and the World’s Strongest Man.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, their 2 daughters and 2 rescue dogs. He coaches youth softball, lifts weights and plays music in his spare time.
