Erica Mullis Sainio, PA

“The role I serve in medicine provides me with a rare opportunity to meet and care for people in a way very few others ever will. I believe medicine is a unique intersection of every domain in a person's life and where you can see how everything – from someone's job and relationships to their spirituality – plays into their health. Serving a community in that role gives me an incredible opportunity to invest and care for someone as an individual rather than simply a condition or patient.”

Sainio is a board-certified physician assistant.

Her passion has always been to pursue medicine in rural communities and work with patients with limited resources. She loves the endless opportunities to learn as much from her patients as they learn from her.

Sainio received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Gardner-Webb University.

Sainio’s home life is centered around community and family. When she’s not at work, she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her husband, hiking in the mountains, playing pickleball, reading, experimenting with new foods and flavors in the kitchen and learning to grow produce.
