I was inspired to pursue pediatric critical care medicine because I knew it was an opportunity to help children survive and thrive.
My passion for human anatomy and physiology led me to pursue medicine and specialize in complex critical care.
I’m a board-certified acute care pediatric nurse practitioner. I specialize in pediatric cardiac critical care and pediatric cardiology.
My areas of focus include:
I’m the director of advanced practice at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital and a faculty member for the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society. I was a finalist for an Atrium Health Teal Acorn Award and an Atrium Health Pinnacle Award.
I received my master’s degree in nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.
I’m involved in research regarding quality improvement in the pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit and decreasing thrombus associated with PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) lines in pediatric patients.
In my free time, I love to travel, exercise and spend time with family.
