Biography
“I find the ongoing relationships that develop with patients over time to be the most rewarding aspect of patient care. Working to create an environment of trust and making the patient feel comfortable takes time but the end result is priceless.”
Dr. Trantham is board-certified in family medicine. She is the chief medical director at Atrium Health Primary Care Cabarrus Family Medicine Kannapolis.
She was drawn to family medicine because she enjoys caring for all ages and family members, from newborns to geriatric patients. She was inspired to pursue medicine by a love of science and a desire to use that knowledge to care for others and elevate their health.
She received her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her residency at Summa Health System.
Dr. Trantham is married with 2 teenagers. She’s an NC State Wolfpack fan and enjoys going to football games. Her biggest passion is to travel.
