It's amazing to be involved in a field that is making advances so quickly to improve the care and outcomes for our patients.

I’m board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders). I specialize in treating children with sarcomas. The energy and strength of my young patients inspires me on a daily basis.

I’m an assistant professor at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, as well as the Isabella Santos Foundation Rare & Solid Tumor program.

I always knew I would be a pediatrician. Pediatric oncology brought together everything I loved about the field of pediatrics: continuity of care, inpatient and outpatient settings and acute and chronic care. I’m humbled by walking beside my patients and their families on this difficult journey.

I received my medical degree at Rutgers University and completed my residency and fellowship at the University of California.

I love spending time with my husband and two amazing children hiking in the woods, riding bikes and just playing in the dirt. My husband and I enjoy traveling, and my favorite country visited so far is New Zealand. I also enjoy riding my stationary bike and listening to audiobooks.
