Biography

“I have the privilege of working with women each day. With their goals in mind, together we come up with treatment plans to address their symptoms and improve their quality of life.”

Dr. Myers is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS). She focuses on minimally invasive reconstructive surgery for prolapse, incontinence and other conditions.

She believes in the importance of addressing myths and misconceptions about conditions that people mistakenly think are a normal part of aging.

Dr. Myers is the research director for the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Division at Atrium Health. She has received numerous awards, including 1st place in the international surgical competition from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She has been named a Physician of the Quarter at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, nominated for a Teal Acorn Tree of Life Innovator Award, and she has received multiple teaching awards. 

Her areas of research include robot-assisted surgery, minimally invasive prolapse and incontinence treatments, surgical techniques and efficiency. She has obtained multiple grants to support and advance research in the field. 

Dr. Myers received her medical degree at The University of Tennessee. She completed a residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and a fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking and water sports with her husband, as well as practicing yoga and trying new recipes with friends.
