Biography
Dr. Navarro is board certified in cardiology, vascular medicine and endovascular medicine. He specializes in vascular medicine and interventional vascular medicine, as well as peripheral vascular and venous interventions. He has a clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal aorta aneurysms, intermittent claudication, arterial and venous ulcers of the lower extremities, pulmonary embolisms, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), peripheral vascular disease (PVD), varicose veins and renal artery stenosis. Additionally, he has clinical interests in thrombolytic therapy, limb salvage and IVC filters.
Dr. Navarro is the director of vascular medicine in the Department of Vascular Surgery at Atrium Health.
He has been named a Charlotte magazine Top Doctor, received the Medical Staff Teacher of the Year Award from Atrium Health Primary Care Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency Program and is a fellow with the American College of Cardiology.
He received his medical degree at the University of California at Irvine and completed residency at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Navarro completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Pittsburgh and fellowships in vascular medicine and interventional vascular medicine at Cleveland Clinic.
When he’s not working, Dr. Navarro enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 daughters. He also likes to play golf and travel.
