Folake Olutosin Olojo, MD

During visits with me, you and your child can expect a professional but fun experience. I love connecting with children and helping them feel at ease. I also enjoy teaching. I take time to explain conditions in simple terms and offer reassurance whenever possible.

I have wanted to be a pediatrician since I was a young child. With the work I do, I believe I am fulfilling my God-given purpose. Over the years, my experiences only confirmed that this was the right path for me. I also draw from my own experience as a patient, which helps me understand what families may be feeling. Each day, I try to put myself in their shoes. My goal is to build trust so families feel safe, heard and confident in the care we provide.

Some highlights of my career include successfully completing my residency and becoming a board-certified pediatric physician. I am also proud to serve as the medical champion for the Reach Out and Read program. I had the opportunity to help launch this program at our office, which supports early literacy and helps families build strong reading habits at home.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active in my community and my faith. I host a Bible study group and spend time making music by playing piano and singing. I also enjoy reading and traveling.

My husband and I love exploring Charlotte together, trying new restaurants, walking or jogging in local parks and, every now and then, relaxing with a good reality TV show.
