Dr. Francesca Prewitt is board certified in general pediatrics. She focuses on pediatric hospital medicine and newborn care.
She feels fortunate to serve the pediatric population, and she values the bonds she can create with her patients and their families.
Dr. Prewitt’s research interests include medical education and quality improvement.
She received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences at Auburn University and her degree in osteopathic medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed residency in pediatrics and served as chief resident at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Dr. Prewitt completed a fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at The University of Alabama. Additionally, she holds a certificate in medical education from the University of Cincinnati.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and she especially loves watching her growing son as he discovers new things. Dr. Prewitt also likes cooking, baking, decorating cupcakes for special occasions and trying new restaurants with her husband.
