Biography

Dr. Rose is board certified in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography. His clinical interests include adult clinical cardiology, valvular heart disease and cardiovascular imaging.

He is president of Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, the Jerome and Rosalind Richardson Chair in Cardiovascular Medicine and a professor of medicine at Atrium Health.

Dr. Rose currently serves as course co-director of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), chair of the Cardiovascular Summit for the ACC Partners in Quality Committee and on the board of managers of ACC/MedAxiom.

He has served as chair of the American Society of Echocardiography Scientific Sessions, chair of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission and on the board of directors of the American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Rose has been named a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine annually since 2007.

He received his medical degree and completed residency at the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as chief resident in internal medicine. He completed fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University.
