Gerald William Bennett, MD

“I originally chose family medicine because I liked the variety of conditions it allowed me to treat. I enjoy hospital medicine for the same reason, but I also like being able to make people well.”

Dr. Gerald Bennett is board certified in family medicine. He focuses on treating patients who are hospitalized.

He was exposed to the health care system early in life when his father was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment. Dr. Bennett knew then he wanted to provide the same care and support to his patients and families that his family received.

He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and his medical degree at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Bennett completed residency in family medicine at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

Away from work, he enjoys golf and spending time with his wife and stepdaughter.
