Gerald William Bennett, MD

I originally chose family medicine because I liked the variety of conditions it allowed me to treat. I enjoy hospital medicine for the same reason, but I also like being able to make people well.

I was exposed to the health care system early in life when my father was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment. I knew then I wanted to provide the same care and support to my patients and families that my family received.

I am board certified in family medicine. I focus on treating patients who are hospitalized.

I received my bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and my medical degree at the University of South Carolina. I completed residency in family medicine at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

Away from work, I enjoy golf and spending time with my wife and stepdaughter.
