Gerhardt Julius Winkel, MD

“I have always enjoyed working with people, and I am honored to help when they are in need. I seek to improve my community and its health through my work.”

Dr. Winkel is board certified in surgery. He specializes in all general surgery procedures, wound care, vein ablation and endoscopy.

He values being able to work with his hands and is energized by the advances in technology.

Dr. Winkel received his medical degree at the University of Iowa. He completed residency at the University of Florida.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking in the mountains, kayaking and spending time with his wife and 2 children.
