Dr. Gavigan is board certified in pediatrics and specializes in nephrology (the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the kidney). She has clinical interests in acute kidney injury, end-stage kidney disease, hypertension and acute and chronic dialysis.
Dr. Gavigan is the director of Acute Care Nephrology at Atrium Health Levine Children's Specialty Center Nephrology.
She received her medical degree at the University of South Carolina and completed a residency at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital. She completed a fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Outside of work, Dr. Gavigan enjoys spending time with her husband, their dogs and their families. She likes running, snow skiing and traveling.
