Biography
“I think the most important aspect of my job is to teach patients about their bodies and their health. I hope women leave my office with a thorough understanding of what is going on, so we can plan how to improve their health and stay healthy, whether that is during a preventive care visit, pregnancy or when a health concern arises.”
Dr. Ehasz specializes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She is skilled in normal and high-risk pregnancies, adolescent gynecologic care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, robotic surgeries, contraception and preventive care.
She has won several awards from the University of Connecticut Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program, including the Alumni Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, the Lefcourt Award for Academic Excellence and the Society for Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology Rising Star Award. She also served as the administrative chief in the University of Connecticut Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program.
Dr. Ehasz loves the variety and continuity in her job. She enjoys taking care of women and their families as they go through transitions in life.
She received her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed her residency at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Ehasz is interested in quality improvement research and previously worked on a project to improve antibiotic stewardship in obstetric practice.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Shiloh. They enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing. She also enjoys cooking, especially creating new soups.
