“My personal philosophy is to approach every patient with empathy and respect. I strive to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that fosters healing and preserves dignity. I am deeply committed to supporting people during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives.”
Hannah Rickard is a board-certified adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP) and a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP). She focuses on internal medicine, hospital medicine and inpatient care for people receiving hematology-oncology (blood disorders and cancer) care.
She chose hospital medicine because it allows her to treat and manage a wide variety of conditions for a diverse population. She values being part of a team that supports patients during their health challenges.
Rickard received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and received a post-master’s certificate at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She completed an advanced practice provider (APP) fellowship in hematology-oncology at Atrium Health.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, attending Broadway performances and reading. Her favorite book is “The Women” by Kristin Hannah.
