Dr. Dorris is an internal medicine doctor who focuses on treating pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sepsis, heart failure and other conditions for people who are hospitalized.
He chose to practice internal medicine because he values having a broad base of knowledge, treating a variety of different conditions and fostering patient-physician relationships both inside and outside of hospital settings.
Dr. Dorris received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina, where he also completed residency in internal medicine.
Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and child, cheering on the North Carolina Tar Heels and being active in his church community.
