James P. Griggs, MD

“I enjoy treating a variety of illnesses and injuries and the decision making involved in treating urgent medical needs.” 

Dr. Griggs is board certified in family medicine. He specializes in urgent care, general adult and pediatric illnesses and sports physicals. 

He is the assistant specialty medical director of the Atrium Health Urgent Care Division and the medical director of the Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship. 

He completed a residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
