“I am passionate about helping people help themselves achieve better health.”

Dr. Scheer is board certified in family medicine. He specializes in chronic health issues, low back pain, hypothyroidism, food allergies and intolerances.

He is the site medical director at Atrium Health NorthEast Internal & Integrative Medicine. He has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for patient-centered medical home, a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care.

With a background in nutrition and osteopathic medicine, Dr. Scheer felt integrative medicine would be a natural fit for him.

He received his degree in osteopathic medicine at Ohio University. He completed a residency at East Tennessee State University and a fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at The University of Arizona.

He is married with a teenage son and a dog. He likes to run, travel and spend time with his family.
