Hughes is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She specializes in health promotion, disease prevention and management of chronic illnesses. Hughes strives to deliver personalized, exceptional care to every patient in every situation.
She is the epic trailblazer for the Epic electronic medical records implementation at Atrium Health Shelby Family Practice.
She received her nurse practitioner training at East Carolina University.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters. They enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, snow skiing, playing tennis and hiking.
