Smith is a board-certified nurse midwife who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She also focuses on pregnancies, contraception and reproductive counseling, sexually transmitted diseases and urinary tract infections.
She became a labor and delivery nurse after the birth of her first child and pursued graduate education in nurse midwifery to expand her focus on women's health.
Smith received her master’s degree in nursing at Case Western Reserve University and her nurse midwife training at Frontier Nursing University.
She is married with 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening and traveling.
