Dr. Fishel is board certified in family medicine and specializes in internal medicine. He is skilled in preventive medicine, diabetes, hypertension, minor dermatologic procedures, sports medicine and joint injections. He enjoys general practice because he appreciates the chance to stay up to date on all aspects of healthcare and disease.
He won the Atrium Health Louisa Littleton Award for underserved care.
Dr. Fishel received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
Outside of work, he loves to cook for his family and try new recipes and techniques he learns on food blogs and cooking competition programs. He also enjoys reading and listening to podcasts about a variety of topics, such as history, science, comedy and healthcare.
