Biography
“I consider it a true privilege to be entrusted with my patients’ well-being. My approach is grounded in open listening and treating each individual with the same respect, empathy and dedication I would want for myself and my loved ones. I recognize every person is unique, and I am committed to collaborating with patients to develop a personalized care plan that addresses their specific conditions while respecting their preferences whenever possible.”
Dr. Jean Fidele Munezero is trained in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). He provides comprehensive care for a broad spectrum of women’s health conditions.
In medical school, he witnessed the powerful, emotional moments shared by new parents as they welcomed their babies into the world. Those experiences inspired him to pursue an OB/GYN career. He loves the variety and impact of the care he can provide, but what fulfills him most are the opportunities to care for patients through many different stages of life and build lasting, meaningful relationships that grow and evolve over time.
His research interests focus on reducing primary cesarean delivery rates and enhancing gynecological surgical outcomes through minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Munezero received a bachelor’s degree in biology at Canisius University. He received a Master of Public Health (MPH) and his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. He completed residency in OB/GYN at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he was recognized for outstanding clinical teaching by a resident and received an Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) Resident Award.
Outside of work, he has a passion for cooking, exploring new foods and experiencing diverse cuisines. He and his wife also enjoy traveling, whether for a weekend getaway or a longer trip, and they enjoy immersing themselves in different cultures and ways of life. To unwind, Dr. Munezero likes a good TV show, playing soccer and watching sports.
