“I feel that I have been called to this profession. I truly love getting to know people and working through their concerns to ease the worries or give guidance to help infants, children and teens grow to be the strongest version of themselves.”

Baxley is a board-certified physician assistant. She is the site-based medical director for Atrium Health Levine Children’s Suburban Pediatrics - Steele Creek. She’s particularly interested in sports medicine, scoliosis and plagiocephaly.

As an athletic trainer and orthotist, she enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, from 2 days old to 102 years old. During her medical training, she was drawn to the energy of pediatrics. She also enjoys working with the schools and preschools in her area for health-related projects, such as health screenings, literacy, community helper days and career days.

She is a graduate of Northwestern University and Wingate University.

She and her husband are long-time Steele Creek residents and have been married for more than 20 years. She loves spending time with her close-knit family. Together, they enjoy snow skiing, hiking, going to soccer games and doing home projects together. Baxley loves traveling, looking at waterfalls, gardening and reading.
