Biography
“I feel that I have been called to this profession. I truly love getting to know people,working through their concerns, easing their worries or giving guidance to help infants, children and teens grow to be the strongest version of themselves.”
Baxley is a board-certified physician assistant. She has special interests in plagiocephaly (flattening of the skull), scoliosis and athletic training. She is the site-based medical director for Atrium Health Levine Children’s Charlotte Pediatrics Steele Creek.
She has received the Atrium Health Patients’ Choice Award and is the inaugural co-director of the Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship program.
Baxley enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. She also enjoys working with the schools and preschools in her area for health-related projects, such as health screenings, literacy, community helper days and career days.
She received her physician assistant training at Wingate University.
Outside of work, Baxley loves spending time with her close-knit family. They enjoy snow skiing, hiking, going to soccer games and doing home projects together. She loves traveling, hiking to waterfalls, gardening and reading, especially historical biographies and fiction.
